Monster Bash and Lantern Walk - Friday, October 24
All Glover students and their families are invited to the Annual Lantern Walk on Friday, October 24th. Join us on Glover’s back playground at 5pm in costume (or not - your call!) to enjoy complimentary pizza, donuts, and apple cider while listening to seasonal spooky tunes. At 6pm we’ll grab our friends, turn on our flashlights, and take a walk around Turner’s Pond with our homemade lanterns before heading home.
Lantern Making Workshop on October 20th
Join us after school from 4-5:15 pm on Monday, October 20th in the cafetorium to craft your very own lantern for the Monster Bash & Lantern Walk. The Glover PTO is sponsoring the event and will provide all craft materials (glue, scissors, tissues paper, string for handles, and lights). You will need to provide your child with their own plastic container to decorate (2-liter soda bottle, milk jug, large juice bottle, old tall tupperware you no longer want, etc.).
If you have extra bottles and/or old lanterns from previous Lantern Walks we will collect them on October 20th for any students who want to participate but didn’t have a chance to make a lantern. Or, if you’d rather craft at home, follow these easy instructions.
Volunteers Needed for the Lantern Workshops & Lantern Walk!
The Lantern Walk is coming up soon, and we need your help to make it magical! We’re looking for volunteers to assist during the Lantern Workshops (helping students craft their lanterns) and at the Lantern Walk itself — distributing food & drinks and assisting in general.
If you can lend a hand, even for a short time, please sign up here: Lantern Walk Volunteers. Your support helps make this one of Glover’s most special community traditions!
