Boston vs. Bullies Visits Glover!

In honor of National Bullying Prevention Month, the Glover PTO is proud to have brought Boston vs. Bullies to our school on Monday, October 20.  The two  engaging and empowering presentations for our 4th and 5th graders help satisfy a state mandated annual bullying prevention instruction for children.

Through age-appropriate videos and guided discussions, students learned:

  • What bullying is—and what it’s not

  • How to recognize if you’re bullying and how to stop

  • What to do if you’re being bullied

  • How to be an upstander, not a bystander

  • How to respond to cyberbullying

The visit will be followed by teacher and staff sessions next week during their PD day to help reinforce these important lessons in the classroom and beyond.

The Glover PTO has been working for over a year to find a time when this impactful program could be brought to our students, and we’re thrilled to see it finally come to life, especially during October, which is National Bullying Prevention Month.
