The Lounge & Listen Book Club
The Glover Book Club is now available for all grade levels with the addition of Lounge & Listen with Mrs. Belmonte. The Lounge & Listen Book Club (LLBC) is open to students in grades 2-4 and will meet on Thursdays from 8-8:45 am in the library from December 4 through June 11. In the LLBC students will enjoy the variety of flexible seating options in the library (lounge!) while Mrs. Belmonte reads aloud from a chapter book (listen!). Books will be chosen for their broad appeal and moderate length (approx. 200 pages) to help our growing readers transition to independent reading, increase their listening/independent reading stamina, and learn to let their imaginations provide the pictures to accompany an author's words. Students will help recap the previous week's reading at the start of each session and will be encouraged to ask questions throughout.
