Girl Power Running Program - Starts Monday, May 5 at 4:00!
Girl Power Running Program is a free, volunteer-led running group for elementary-aged girls focused on building confidence, self-esteem, and healthy habits in a supportive, low-pressure environment. Girls progress at their own pace, aiming to complete a Girl Power 2K Road Race on June 9.
Who: Elementary-aged girls
Where: Cunningham Park tennis courts
When: Mondays at 4:00 PM – May 5, 12, 19, June 2
Race Day: June 9 (Rain Date: June 16)
Note: No meeting on May 26 (Memorial Day)
Program Highlights:
Walk/jog format, everyone goes at their own pace
Gradual endurance-building toward the final race
Emphasis on fun, friendship, and fitness
Important Reminders:
NOT a drop-off program – each girl must be accompanied by an adult
Volunteers needed (runners and non-runners) for safety along the course
Bring a labeled water bottle for post-run hydration
