MPS Budget Updates

Last week’s School Committee meeting marked the start of FY27 budget calendar–the process that will conclude with a finalized budget for the 2026-2027 school year.  Read the FY26 Quarter One Operating Budget Financial Report and a draft of the district’s FY27 Budget Philosophy Priorities.The Quarter One report is an important part in the district’s ongoing budget process.  The report summarizes expenditures and encumbrances to date, and the report and all related materials can be found on MPS’ website.

Biweekly School Committee meetings (available live and recorded on Milton Access TV, via Zoom, or in person) provide opportunities to learn more about how the MPS budget is developed and how funds are allocated.  Meeting recordings, minutes, and presentations from all meetings are posted on the MPS website at miltonps.org under School Committee Meetings.
