Composting Returns to Glover Lunch Room
In celebration of Earth Day on April 22, composting returned to the Glover lunchroom starting on Tuesday, April 1! The first week has been very successful: each day, we are only throwing out three bags of trash instead of about 18 pre-composting! The Glover PTO is funding the compost pickup, through Black Earth. Three things are being composted (uneaten food, paper napkins, and paper trays); and everything else continues to be thrown out. This coincides with Glover students learning about composting in their April outdoor classroom lesson.
If you would like to get composting pickup at home, you can visit this Town of Milton website to learn more and sign up for discounted rates with either Black Earth or Bootstrap (sign up with COMPOSTCURIOUS2024 and receive your first month free).
